Moby Duck is a whaler, but in name only. He neither has the skill nor the heart to hunt a whale, which is why he usually puts his boat to use for other purposes, like deliveries. He is an excellent sailor and a decent protector of his cargo whenever anyone tries to take it from him. He might be related to Donald Duck on his father's side and sometimes hires him as assistant. Other, steady, assistants include Porpy and Dimwitty Duck
Moby Duck appears to be a member of the Duck family, though what his place is within the family tree is unknown. He's the world's worst whaler, which works out for him insofar that few people ask questions and just let him transport cargo as "inbetween" job. In fact, Moby actually has a weakness for whales, going so far as to save one from Sea Kingdom. He's got no talent for whaling
either, but he is as good a sailor as is going to be around and is dependable. Moby Duck's usually assistants at sea are a porpoise named Porpy and first mate Dimwitty Duck. Donald had Dimwitty's job before him, if shortly.
Moby is largely unapologetic, has a quick temper, is prone to rudeness, and has a sexist inclination. For those who can deal with either that or him, he's reliable if somewhat energetic company.
Moby is a duck of medium height with white feathers and a round beak. He's got brown hair though the top of his head is bald. His eyebrows are thick and he's always got an unlit pipe in his beak. Moby wears a sailor's outfit consisting of a striped shirt, hat, and pants.
Boom! Studios comics
Moby Duck has business in St. Canard just as Duckthulhu rises. He hypnotizes the population, Moby included, into obedience and gives them sealife features. Upon Donald's instruction for Duckburg to fight back against the ink, Moby does so.
