Duckburg is the hometown of most of the characters from Ducktales. It is right next door to St. Canard. The name Duckburg was first mentioned in the the Donald Duck story High Wire Daredevils in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #144. The History of Duckburg goes all the way back to 1579 when Sir Francis Drake founded the city when he came to America. He built a fort and named it Fort Drakebourough. Many years later Cornelius Coot renamed the fort called Fort Duckburg. Later Fort Duckburg was torn by Scrooge McDuck and he put his Money Bin on Killmotor Hill (Formerly Killmule Hill).
Scrooge McDuck is Duckburg's wealthiest and most recognized citizen. Other notable citizens of Duckburg include Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Daisy Duck, Elvira Duck, Gladstone Gander, the Beagle Boys and many others.
